In addition, the patina of the 16th-17th century buildings contrasts beautifully with the small, colorful modern shops.
Many of the flats for rent have period beams in the ceiling, giving them a special charm. The Marais stretches from the imposing, highly regarded Centre Pompidou to the Place des Vosges, one of the oldest and most romantic squares in Paris. The Marais has everything you need for an unforgettable stay in Paris. The area is full of great bars and cafes, lively markets, but also green spaces, trendy art galleries, and countless places to enjoy a variety of things from small bakeries to high-end restaurants.
Flat Description:
The flat is in the Marais on the fourth floor of a classic 17th-century stone building. Walking through the entrance hall and into the living room, one is immediately struck by the charm of the elegant interior. Most of the furnishings are beautiful antiques covered with elegant choices of contemporary fabrics and colors. The flat was renovated in 2018 by Philip Gorrivan, an award-winning interior designer.
The original period wooden floor is beautifully covered with a natural sea rush carpet. As well as being beautiful, the lounge is also practical. The sitting area has a cozy sofa, armchair, and coffee tables. The dining room has plenty of space for a group of four and is located next to the open plan fully equipped kitchen which has been recently renovated. The dining and living areas are bathed in light thanks to the large windows.
From the living room is the master bedroom with a new king-size mattress and recently renovated with green and earth tones. There is a bathroom with a shower and a large wardrobe perfect for storing clothes.
Returning to the living room of the hallway, guests will find the second bedroom overlooking a quiet courtyard, with custom twin beds and decorated in cream and neutral tones. There is an en-suite bathroom, with WC and shower. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also in this bathroom.
The flat is a home from home in the center of Paris, close to many transport links. Although there is no lift in the building, the stairs are neither narrow nor steep. There are two portable air conditioning units for the warmer months.
